Leon County Complete Count Subcommittees


The seven Complete Count Committee Subcommittees include both Complete Count Committee members as well as energetic volunteers developing and implementing targeted strategies and activities to promote the 2010 Census.

· Education subcommittee
Coordinates the Leon County educational community’s efforts to raise awareness of the Census and the importance of obtaining an accurate count of Leon County residents.

· Faith-Based subcommittee
Leaders across denominations to develop strategies to inform their congregants about the importance of the 2010 Census.

· Media subcommittee
Utilize local media outlets to inform, motivate, and educate residents on the importance of their participation in the 2010 Census.

· Business subcommittee
Builds partnerships across the local business community. Encourage area businesses to promote the census by displaying census messages in their business materials and to sponsor Census 2010 activities.

· Community-Based Organizations subcommittee
Collaborates with community organizations to inform residents of the importance of participating in the 2010 Census and the benefits derived from census data.

· Government subcommittee
Assists in all activities between the Census Bureau and local and state government.

· Rental and Subsidized Housing subcommittee
Coordinates the awareness and outreach efforts to area rental and subsidized housing locations.
